Abstract

Longbracted hemlock, an endemic tree species of south China, is now in dispute tuxonomically. Authors of this paper analysed this species in many respects, support the legitimate name Nothotsuga, not a true Tsuga.Natural regeneration is very ban by sampling set in the distribution area of Fujisn. Factors influenced the efficiency of regeneration are of Fujian. Factors influenced the efficiencyof regeneration are both, long seed years and f&ilure of competition caused by undergrowth. The authors find out that the natural regeneration is quite well where the habitat is burnt one year before. This discovery implies that the burning ecology iS perhaps a main factor to promote’ the natural regeneration somehow in certain mechanism.
