Abstract: The application of PC-TAXON database system in studies on Pythium in China was made in the paper. Studies on taxonomic database of Pythium indicate that there is a broad prospect of applying computer database technique in mycological researches. Besides, un-standard description of mycological data has a great negative influence upon the application of computer.
