STUDIES ON MORPHOLOGY OF FOLIAR GLANDS AND ITS TAXONOMICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF CERASUS (ROSACEAE)

Abstract: Anatomical characters and SEM observation of glands revealed that the glands of leave in Cerasus was one kind of secretory tissue. There were three types that glands insert on leave’s serrates:terminal、basilar and lateral; the glands shape varied: cone、disc、davate、papillate and compressed;and the size was very different in different species. The characters of glands were stable and important in taxonomy.
