Abstract

The dynamic properties of the nutrient elements were studied in the Casuarina equisetifolia plantation of 15 years. Results showed:(1)Following the increase of leaf age, the contents of movable elements, such as N, P, K, Mg in leaves decreased, but the content of unmovable element Ca increased; (2)The contents of each nutrient in leaves at age of 1 year, and unmovable elements in leaves at each age increased with the change of growth seasons. The contents of movable elements in biannual and perannual leaves decreased during the initial growing period to fast-growing period, but they increased to some extent in the latter growing period; (3)The nutrient contents in leaves varied with different crown classes and their positions in the crowns; (4)The nutrient contents in the organic order was leaf>branch>fruit>bark>root>stem.
