Abstract: Eleusisne coracana has been treated for 14 days respectively with ,1/15,2/15,4/15 and 8/15 of sea water solution. The capacities of carbon, nitrogen and biomass of the roots, stems and leaves were measured, and the chlorophyll content of the leaves of the species was analysed. The carbon content of the species in 1/15 sea water solution was more than that in the controlled solution. The nitrogen capacities of the roots and stems of the species in sea water solution were higher than thosee in the controlled solution, but unlike the root and stem, the nitrogen of the leaves was lower than that of the ccontrolled. At 1/15 sea water solution the chlorophyll of the species was more than that at the controlled conditions. The biomass of the leaves was higher than that of the controlled, meanwhile the biomass of the root and stem were lower than the controlled, in all the five treatments.
