Abstract: This paper studies the movement of logs on the horizontal curve section of chute.The force analysis of the log on horizontal curve is made.The moving speed of logs on the curve is derived from theoretical analysis and compared with the result from a Russian formula.Finally,the cross profile arrangement is also discussed.
