Abstract

Fingerprints of 13 clones of 5 origins of Eucalyptus urophylla S. T. Blake and 9 clones of 4 origins of E. tereticornis Smith were constructed with RAPD markers. The 13 primers screened could result in 110 loci, of which 91 loci were polymorphic and 25 were different at 0.10 significance level among the origins. The genetic distances between clones were calculated, on the basis of which a dendrogram was established. The construction of such fingerprints could be of very importance for identification of clone, clarification of genetic relationship between clones and selection of parental combination in hybridization of the two species.
