Abstract: Through intensive thinning of Chinese fir sprout forest passed many asexual generations, then replanting Altingia gracilipes at the same place reserving Chinese fir when planting broad_leaved tree, its biomass and nutrient element composition and reserved Chinese fir sprout forest which passed many asexual generations (the control) were studied, the result indicated:the mean tree height D.B.H and biomass of Chinese fir under the pattern were respectively 1.20 times,1.24times and 1.26times as those of the control. The nutrient element stock of the ecosystem under the pattern increased by 4.17%,compared with that of the control, and the increasement of N、P、K in that was specially distinct.the biomass and the proportion of branch and root system (especially little root) of Altingia gracilipes,mean tree were both higher than those of Chinese fir’s,and Altingia gracilipes was a little shade_bearing in the early time, thus,Altingia gracilipes is one of the tree species that would improve the poor_production stand and form the mixed stand of Chinese fir.
