Abstract

It is reported that contacted_breaking release microcapsules are a new kind of ones and they are processed in a low tempteture. When used to control long_horn beetles, the have better effect than slow_release microcapsules do. The reason is that when stepped on by long_horn beetles they will blast and release all pesticide in capsules to the legs of long_horn beetles, and kill the beetles. If they are not contacted by long_horn beetles, they microcapsules will maintain their original shapes. According to our experiment in the northwest of China, the microcapsules can keep mortality to Anoplophora nobilis and A. glabripennis by one hundred percent within 39 days after being sprayed onto the barks of trees.
