Abstract: This paper deals with the pesticide residues and degradation determination of contacted breaking micro capsules by means of high pressure liquid chromatograph (HPLC). The degradation and residue determination results show that the residues of cypermethrin maintained above 30% within 45 days after being sprayed onto the barks of trees, correspondent with the biology test effect in the Northwest of China. According to the control test of poplar long horn beetles, in 38 days the contacted broken micro capsules could keep mortality to Anoplophora nobilis and A.glabripennis by 90 percent after being sprayed .These tests indicate that contacted broken micro capsules had some advantages ,such as longer effect duration and high resistance to environmental factors, especially prepared with synthetic pyrethroids.
