Nanjing, a famous historic city, has very good natural and humane landscapes. But there are some landscapes ecological problems in Nanjing Urban-rural fringe as follows: (1 ) Natural and semi-natural landscape are much fractional. (2)Landscape connectivity is weak and the total arrangement is unreasonable. (3)Humane landscape does not harmonize well with natural landscape. (4)Residential and industrial areas are dispersed and the expansion of massive construction conflicts with agricultural land. The corresponding countermeasures are given to solve the problems such as strengthening landscape ecological planning and continuous distribution, protecting forest patches and landscape heterogeneity, establishing ecological hydrographic network, connecting remnant patches, merging traditional humane landscapes with natural landscapes, setting up ecological agricultural systems of city outskirts.
