Abstract: Forest genetics and breeding is an applied science based on the achievements of modern biology, modern forestry and related natural scien ces.Researches on forest genetics provide information on genetic characters of f orest tree individual or population and define genetic relation among individual s or among species, which lay the theoretical foundation for preservation and uti lization of forest tree resource.Forest breeding is a part of composition of for est management technique for the purpose of increasing and protecting of forest production, regeneration and biological diversity. In the construction of ecologic al environment and forest production system, efficient management, controlling an d transforming on genetic characters of forest trees are important technique mea sures for high-efficienct forestry and sustainable development.
