Abstract

Forest ecosystem is one of the most important ecosystems on earth. It will bring material impact to environment and human health when it is contaminated by organic compound or inorganic compound. In all of inorganic compound, the heavy metals are always attended in ecology and environment scienc e due to their characteristics in this paper. The authors summarized the research evolutions of heavy metals pollution in forest ecosystem from its transforming rules, environment capacity, modalities, affected factors, the effect of bioreme diation on heavy metals pollution area and the ecological benefit of forest on f ixing heavy metals. Soil erosion and eluviation are main migration ways to heavy metals.Forest soil has some characteristics such as preferential flow, preferen tial breakthrough, preferential migration, preferential lateral infiltration non -symmetric tailing breakthrough curve,so the solutes can penetrate soil instant aneous. Heavy metals have several forms in the system and the impact factors are soil temperature, pH, Eh, humic substances, mineral, climate, water cycle, bein gs and so on. Bioremediation is unique friendly way in refine. The author also p ut forward suggestions for the research in the future.
