Abstract

American is one of rich forest resources countries and much forest pest and fire countries.Forest health is a new theory produced in control practice of forest pest and fire in recent ten years.Formation procedures about forest health theory,intension and substance of forest health thought,forest health plan,forest health practice and forest health monitoring were reviewed.It was discussed that American forest health theory and practice were valuable thinking and using for reference in the forest pest and fire sustained control in China.It included that the forest pest control was made under the direction of science thought with higher level,forest plantation was conducted in according to the stable systematic structure of natural forest,the modernization monitoring system and ground fixed monitoring net were combined together.China should begin to do relative study about forest health theory as soon as possible,establish exemplary experiment spot,seek forest health measures according with China practice.
