Abstract: 4 physiological indexes, chlorophyll content,SOD activity,MDA content and free proline content of 11 tree species in the conditions of salt fog stress were determined by simulating with saturated solution of sodium hydroxide. The results showed that, there were apparent differences in salt fog tolerance among 11 tree species. When salt fog stress remained 1 day,the order of salt fog tolerance of 11 tree species was that,Schima superba,Elaeocarpus decipiens,Pinus idida,Choerospondias axillaris,Myrica rubra,Pinus massoniana,Cinnamomum camphora,Castanea mollissima,Pinus elliottii,Diospyros kaki,Liquidamber formosana;when salt fog stress remained 3 days, the order of salt fog tolerance of 11 tree species was that,P.idida,M.rubra,S.superba,E.decipiens,C.mollissima,C.camphora,D.kaki,P.elliottii,P.massoniana,C.axillaris,L.formosana;when the order of salt fog stress remained 6 days, salt fog tolerance of 11 tree species was that,S.superba,M.rubra,P.idida,E.decipiens,C.camphora,P.elliottii,C.mollissima,C.axillaris,P.massoniana,D.kaki,L.formosana.
