In past 2 decades,the poplar property has been getting rapid development and brought great comprehensive benefit for local farmers in the north area of Jiangsu province,but,it is at the meanwhile confronted with many problems which need to be solved.In order to find out the sustainable development degree of poplar property in Jiangsu,the paper establishes sustainable development indicators on the basis of taking the economic,social and environmental system into account,and makes the quantitative evaluation of the state of sustainable development of Jiangsu’s poplar industry.The final evaluation outcome shows that it is at a transitive stage from traditional development to sustainable development.
