The growth,phenology,and seed germination of Antiaris toxicaria were observed in this paper.In Xishuangbanna,both vegetative and flowering were finished in the dry season(from Feb.to May).It suggested that seed expressed no dormancy stage,and the germination rate of fresh seed was as high as (94±6.0)%.It also indicated that the safe water content of Antiaris toxicaria seed for keeping its vitality was above 30%.After 5 months of storing in wet sand at a low temperature the seed germination rate was 82%,while in a ventilated condition the germination rate was 36%.
