Abstract: 43 isolates of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides were collected from 38 kinds of plants in six provinces of China.Their cultural characteristics, morphological features of conidia, suitable temperature and pH were studied and analyzed. There were significant cultural and morphological differences among isolates of C.gloeosporioides.Different geographic regions and different hosts had not any obvious effect on adaptation of isolates to temperature and pH.Based on the result of statistical and cluster analysis, many isolates were distant to each other. It was not efficient to divide C.gloeosporioides into some groups based on morphological features.
