Abstract: Significant difference of reproductive package patterns exists between two populations of Liriodendron chinense.Depended on four closely related indexes,e.g.samara weight, aggregate fruit weight, samara length, and aggregate fruit length, the frequency distribution patterns are normal in the populations at Mt.Longwang, but left skewed in the populations at Songtao,Guizhou province. This demonstrates that the former has more medial-sized seeds, whereas the latter contains more large seeds.Within one aggregate fruit, full samaras mainly locate in the middle portion. The resource, however, trends to be mainly allocated in the lower part of the fruit.
