Abstract

Liriodendron chinense(Hemsl.)Sarg.×L.tulipifera L.is known for its difficulty in propagation by cutting. In this investigation, endogenous hormone dynamics in cuttings during adventitious root formation, was studied in detail. The result indicated that the endogenous hormone, including iPA,ZRs,GA_(1/3),IAA,ABA,changed remarkably during adventitious root formation,Contents of those five kinds of endogenous hormone are much higher in leaves than that in the basal part of the cuttings. The treatment of 300 mg/kg IBA+100 mg/kg NAA enhanced the content of iPA and IAA in leaves and basal stems, while the opposite result occurred in contents of ZRs and ABA.Low contents of the IAA and high percentage of ABA in cuttings and leaves are disadvantageous to the adventitious roots formation.
