Abstract

Pine shoot blight caused by Sphaeropsis sapinea is a kind of important disease in China. There is a close relation of soil element to the occurance of pine shoot blight, Severe disease development usually is in sand soil or clay soil. The soil water content is a very important actor. The water stress is advertage to the disease epidemic. By the analysis of the physical and chemical composition of the soil, the disease index is positively correlated to the content of available phosphate.
