Abstract: The artificial budding experiment was conducted in water culture using Aralia elata var. inermis dormant branch was conducted in the climate chamber. The results showed that when treated with different cutting length, the stems in 20 cm length sprouted more buds than others, and the difference was very significant. As for different nutritional conditions, the best treatment was 50mL water+50mL full ingredients nutritious solution. But there was no obvious difference between it and 100mL full ingredients nutritious solution. When treated with different stem diameters, the large diameter was better than the smaller one (the average diameter was 12.3mm). When treated with stems of the same diameter but different age, the stems aged 2 years produced more buds, but the difference was not remarkable. As for the treatment of buds in different positions on the same stem, buds on the two ends were developed well, but there was no obvious difference also. The result may help in the further research of the bud forcing technique of Aralia elata var. inermis, and provide an important basis for a large number of production.
