Abstract: The eight strains, isolated from Dendrolimus houi Lajonquiere poisoned by Beauveria bassiana, were screened by their growth properties in the media, powder quality of large-scale produce and indoors and outdoors toxicity tests. Bbd3 and Bbd6 had high virulence to Dendrolimus houi Lajonquiere, which mycelium grew fast and the time and output of spore production were short and high. Bbd3 was the most superior strain, and it was large-scale produced and applied widely. The average sporulation was 3.09×10 10cfu/g, and the average germination was 99.1%. The average control effect was over 92 %.
