Abstract: Land quality evaluation plays a key role in appraising implementing effect of land reclamation project, taken as an important foundation for adjusting land reclamation development direction. Because the indicators and criterions of evaluation are inconsistent, which makes evaluation result hard to be synthesized and compared. The natural quality index reflects climate and soil conditions influencing crop growth, as well as the farmland construction status. As one of the most important results of farmland gradation, it can be applied for land quality evaluation of land reclamation project. Since the natural quality index of province level can be compared across the country, so does the land quality evaluation. Finally the conversion of different natural quality’s farmland and establishment of land reclamation project plan are discussed.
