Abstract: The aged structure, static life table and survival curve o{ Cerasus cerasoides var. campanulata population were analyzed in this paper. The results show that the aged structure of C. cerasoides var. campanulata population, accounting for 65.1% of all C. cerasoides var. campanulata, distributed mainly within No. Ⅲ level and No. Ⅳ level, which is critical to maintain the dominance in its communities. The number of seedlings and old trees was very low, the whole population of C. cerasoides var. campanulata was in declining. The survival curve was different from the typical Deevey Ⅲ curve, which showed the death rate of C. cerasoides var. campanulata was high on its existing condition or survival rate was limited. The auther suggested that moderate disturbance or artificial forest gaps might be helpful to the breeding of C. cerasoides var. campanulata.
