The current situation of research on the drought resistant, mainly on the mechanism, indexes, and identification techniques, selection on tree species and germplasm for drought resistance in forest was discussed. Problems and prospects, including research on mechanism, new methods organically mixed with traditional techniques, root, selection and breeding for drought resistant forest, dynamic analysis on drought resistant forest were also submitted.
