The construction techniques of stone piles were discussed. The compaction scheme and inspection result of stone piles on experimental section were presented with the applica- tion of compacted stone piles on TQ-02 contract section in Tong-Qi highway. The results indicated that when the pile tube was not been left to vibrate during lifting, the compaction scheme of stone piles would make the length, diameter and compactness of the pile more uni- form, and the construction more convenient.
