Abstract

The cofferdam technology with earthwork flushing by sand pipe bags was applied to the construction of Suiyue South Expressway. The technology shown the advantages of low cost with local materials, simple technique of construction, easiness for removal and non-pol- lution in environment. It is a new technology for the cofferdam construction on sandy bed of river.
