On the basis of introducing the geographical distribution, morphological and growth characters of C. paliurus, research progresses on seed dormancy and its breaking, seedling propagation techniques, plantation silviculture, chemical compositions, medical use of C. paliurus were summarized in this paper. Also some suggestions on resources silviculture of C. paliurus and their new product development were proposed for future research.
