Abstract: In this paper the important value of 39 main species was measured and the niche breadth, niche similarity and niche overlap of 15 dominant species were calculated with Levins, Shannon-Wiener formulas by sampling method in evergreen broadleaved forest in Linnan Nature Reserve. The results showed that the niche breadths of main dominant species were higher. The Levins and Hurlbert’s niche breadths of Schima superba, Loropetalum chinense and Castanopsis eyeri, the main dominant species, were 0.9839, 0.9148, 0.8731 and 0.9926, 0.9587, 0.9279 respectively. The niche proportional simulation between the species with broad niche breadth was much great, Schima superba with Loropetalum chinense, Castanopsis eyeri were 0.8132, 0.8131. The niche overlaps between the species with broad niche breadth and other species were high, the niche overlaps of the dominant species Schima superba with others were from 0.2981 to 0.3631, those between the species with broad niche breadth and others species were much less, the niche overlaps of Cyclobalanopsis glauca with others were from 0.0097 to 0.2800.
