Abstract: Dynamic variation of endogenous polyamines contents in bulbs of Lycoris radiata during the florescence was studied with thin layer chromatography-fluorescence spectrometry, and the relationship between PAs and growth and development of L. radiata was analyzed. During the prophase of flower bud differentiation, the PAs concentration was increased by degrees, which reached peak in early Jun. During the anaphase of flower bud differentiation, the PAs concentration was decreased by degrees. During the florescence Put and Spm contents decreased markedly and kept at a lower content level. In leaves growth phase PAs contents ascended again. In the whole florescence course, Put contents were the most, whose variation breadth was sharp, while Spd contents were the least, fluctuation was slight.
