Abstract: The leaf form and micromorphology of 27 species of Osmanthus were comparatively studied with the help of paraffin section method and the leaf tissue characteristics were observed under the microscope. The results showed that there were definite anatomical differences among species of Osmanthus. The main distinguishing anatomical feathers among species were the thickness of midrib, the thickness of leaf, the thickness of cuticle, the cell layers and thickness of palisade tissue, the thickness of spongy tissue, the ratio of palisade tissue to spongy tissue, and the characteristics of vascular system in the midrib of leaves. These characteristics put up some adaptability and pertinence with there growth environment.
