Abstract: Through the test and analysis of the arboreal and herbaceous plant which spread near the transportation station of lead and zinc mineral district in Qixia Mountain in Nanjing, plant species which could purify effectively heavy metal pollution were selected. Arboreal plant Paulowniafortunei, Ulmus pumila and Broussonetia papyrifera had relatively higher complex ability to accumulate heavy metal. Cedrus deodara, Platanus acerifolia and Ligustrum lucidum also had some complex ability to accumulate heavy metal. These species could be selected as the greenery tree as well as purified tree in the area. Among the herbaceous plants, the accumulation ability of Cynodon dacytlon was better than others. The selection of Paulownia fortunei, Ulmus Pumila, Broussonetia papyrifera and Cynodon dacytlon in that serious pollution district was the effective restorative method.
