Abstract: The high degradation capacity microorganism was immobilized on the speciallyprepared bamboo charcoal particulate with an average diameter of 20mm, and a laboratoryscale contactoxidation filter packed with this complex was employed to biodegrade the typical contaminants in wastewater. The results showed that under the hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 60min, the elimination efficiency of COD, NH3-N, TP, chroma and turbidity reached 75%, 40%, 20%, 50%, 50%, and the maximum elimination loadings of COD, NH3-N, TP were 170g/(m3·h), 30g/(m3·h), 1.8g/(m3·h), respectively. The strain number of unit mass bamboo charcoal was 1.22×1010per gram.
