Abstract: We reported 175 moss species (including six varieties) belonging to 29 families, 83 genera from Dapanshan National Nature Reserve in Zhejiang province of China for the first time. Among them, 33 species and one genera were new findings in Zhejiang province. East element, north temperate element and cosmopolitans account for 32.57%, 24.00% and 18.29% of the total species, respectively. Among 29 moss families, Brachytheciaceae, Thuidiaceae, Hypnaceae, Mniaceae and Pottiaceae are the five major families. They include 22, 17, 13, 12 and 11 species, respectively. Brachythecimen, Bryum, Entodon and Fissidens are the four major genera, including 12, 8, 7 and 6 species, respectively. The family similarity in species number of Dapanshan with those of other 22 mountains in China was also compared using the method of detrended correspondence analysis. The results showed Dapanshan is more similar to Jinhuabei Mountain, Tianmu Mountain and Gutian Mountain in family composition.
