Abstract: Visualization of scientific compute now is practically used in the 3D reconstruction of log’s CT image. In this paper, a wood 3D system, which has multiple functions, like userinteractive cutting, virtual manufacture and several others, was implemented. This system can virtually cut out wooden products with complicated shapes in the computer screen, and select them by conditions that were used to divide the flaw of the log images. Moreover, according to more detailed 3D visualization of the flaws, users can have visually understanding of the size and the distribution of flaws. Thus, the best cutting scheme can be chosen.
