Abstract: Inoculating ramets of poplar clone 895 with Xerocomus chrysenteron, Lactarius insulsus, Laccaria aemthystea, Boletus edulis, Pisolithus tinctorius 1 and Pisolithus tinctorius 2 indicated that ectomycorrhizal fungi significantly affected the mineral nutrient absorption of poplar clone 895 cutting seedlings. NH+4N, NO-3N content and root activity of poplar clone 895 treated with 6 kinds of ectomycorrhizal fungi were increased variously. Nitrate reductase, NO-3N content and N, P absorption of poplar clone 895 treated with X. chrysenteron, Lactarius insulsus, B. edulis and P. tinctorius 2 were observably higher than control. Root activity of poplar clone 895 treated with X. chrysenteron, Lactarius insulsus and B. edulis were enhanced. B. edulis was the most effective. P absorption of poplar clone 895 treated with Laccaria aemthystea and P. tinctorius 1 was higher than control. After being treated with 6 kinds of ectomycorrhizal fungi, K concentration of poplar 895 changed slightly, but Cu, Fe, Mn, and Zn concentration were highly increased. The results showed that ectomycorrhizal fungi could enhance trace mineral elements absorption of the host.
