Abstract: The variation of compositions with fatty acid characters variation in Camellia chekiangoleosa Hu was investigated. The results showed that, according to fatty acid contents in C. chekiangoleosa Hu, the variation coefficient in individual plant could be devided into three types, i.e., the maximium variation coefficient for stearic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid and peanut acid, followed by palm acid, the minimum for oleic acid. The contents of linoleic acid, linolenic acid and peanut acid in different habitats did not show the significant differences. The composition of stearic acid and oleic acid were different due to the different habitats. But the palm acid had extremely significant differences dependent of the habitats.
