The Jiangxi province forest idioplasm resources information system was established by introducing open sources GIS MapServer into the forest idioplasm resources information system software to develop WebGIS and choosing Apache http Server+MapServer+PHP etc softwares in this paper. In the system design the Jiangxi province forest idioplasm resources information system will divide into two parts, the forest idioplasm resources WebGIS service and the forest idioplasm resources data maintenance and management. The forest idioplasm resources WebGIS service has realized maps elementary operation, the spatial inquiry, the attribute inquiry and the special chart demonstration and output. The forest idioplasm resources data maintenance and the management have realized the forest idioplasm resources geography information input and the edition, the forest idioplasm resources information synthesis inquire and statistics, as well as functions and so on user management, map data issue.
