Abstract: Bamboo leaf rust disease caused by Puccinia spp.affects the growth of bamboo severely. In order to control the disease with hyperparasite Acremonium salmoneum, indoor and field control test with Acremonium salmoneum were investigated. Test results showed that the inoculum with about 100 conidias(10×10)was much more suitable and the occurrence of bamboo leaf rust was gradually declined along with the increase of hyperparasite. The control effect reached 64.8%. When the hyperparasite is used to control bamboo leaf rust, some proper measures of moisture preservation should be taken to improve the control effect in the premilinary stage.
