OPTIMIZATION OF HOT PRESSING OF COMPOUND PLYWOOD

Abstract: Compound plywood is a new kind of wooden board. Hot pressing is an extremely important process in the manufacturing of compound plywood. For the compound plywood to be made from I-69 Poplar, appropriate parameters of temperature and time in hot pressing will make the product attain its best properties, i. e, make its resistance to stress result in the highest value in each dimension. In order to obtain the optimum values of the parameters for hot pressing, mathematical models are formulated and problems in the models are solved by means of electronic computers and theories of optimization.
