Abstract: Observations were made on the flowering and the fruitfication development of Platanus acerifolia the materials were collected from 20~30 year old trees during 1981?984 in Nanjing. Most of the ovules aborted during June to November; however, the ovaries with hairy walls grow into hairy nutlets in the next year. A timetable for the development of the flowers and fruits is given.
