Abstract: Holotrichia trichophora is an important insect pest injurious to crops and trees. Its larvae are more harmful than its adult, and it can damage over 20 species plants. It has one generation per year and overwinters as adult in soil a depth from 60 to 90 cm in Zhejiang province. The results of study show that changing the single dry-working system into alternative of dry and wetworking is a fundmental measure to control this pest, catching adults as they mate at the ground surface is effective, and insecticide 75% phoxin (2000x) , 50% Diazinon (500x) or 90% Dipterex (600x) are also found effective against larvae.
