Abstract: Symmetric dimers of camphene and long ifolene were prepared from ( E) -ω-chloromcrcuricamphene and (E) -ω-chloro mercurilongifolene respectively in the presence of rhodium chloride in THF at room temperature. Their structures were confirmed by IR, UV, 1HNMR. 13CNMR and MS.
