ON-LINE PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR REMOTE TESTING OF SAILING RESISTANCE TO DOUBLE-TOW BAG-RAFT MODEL

Abstract: The experiment on dam-erasing machines of lop for the Ertun Hydropower Station indicates that the bsg-rafts towed by two abets is a better method for short distance transport Of logs from the end of bag-raft tow in the reservoir area of the hydropower station to the accelerating area of water flow accelerators in front of the dam. The system objectives are: 1) to find the correlstion between the speed of a double-tow bag-raft model and sailing resistance encountered with different volumes of logs under free-sailing condition; 2)to predict the effective power of real towing rafts; 3)to provide basis for the design or selection of tugboats fot actual double-tow beg-rafts. The system primarily consists of remote testing equipment, tension transducers, microcomputers and interfsce circuit for counter timers. The peper hss discuss the basic principle of remote testing, the manufacture of tension transducers, the major function of counter timers in the ststem. The software fot testing is briefly explained with the program flowchart. It is concluded that the system has five features:high automation and ascuracy, some intelligent judgement ability, superior software, strong anti-interference and high applicability.
