Abstract: Adult Batocera horsfieldi were fed with the adult host plant treated by diflubenzuron In the early and middle stage of egg layingseason, the haemolymph protein concentration of treated female dropped evidently In the late egg layingseason, the haemolymph protein concentration of treated female was higher than that of untreated control female The polyacrylamide gel electrophoretic pattern suggested that the number of protein fractions had no significant change between the treated and untreated adults Diflubenzuron had different effects on individual protein fractions Diflubenzuron had an evident inhibition on the concentration of female specific proteins, the relative migration values varied from 2.5 percent to 12.6 percent Meanwhile, it stimulated the concentration of the fractions with relative migration values between 33.6 percent and 36.7 percent These results suggested diflubenzuron had the effects siminar to juvenile hormone on adult Batocera horsfieldi Changes of haemolymph protein concentration of the treated adult were caused by its juvenile hormonelike effects
