Abstract: Isolation and species identification of the rhizosphere parasitic nematodes were carried out from 80 roots and soil samples, which were collected from Pinus massoniana, P. thunbergii, P. elliottii, P. densiflora from Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Huaian, Lianyungang and Yangzhou cities in Jiangsu province. The results were as follows:Helicotylenchus dihystera and Paratylenchus pini were isolated from the rhizosphere of healthy P. massoniana grown in Mount Zijin of Nanjing City; Gracilacus steineri, G. epacris and G. straeleni were found in the rhizosphere of weak P. massoniana in Jiangning district of Nanjing City; Tylenchorhynchus malinus were observed in the rhizosphere of healthy P. massoniana in Yangzhou City; P. minutus were from healthy P. thunbergii in Zhenjiang City. P. massoniana was a new host of T. malinus, P. bukowinensis, G. straeleni, G. epacris and G. steineri, while P. thunbergii was a new host of P. minutus. Moreover, P. bukowinensis, G. steineri, G. epacris and G. straeleni were the new record species in Jiangsu province.
