Abstract: Variation on rooting ability associated with geographic origings (seed orchard), families within seed orchard, and individuals (clones) within families were evaluated in this research. There is an appreciable variation of four rooting traits at all three levels. Greater genetic variance components at clonal level in each of the rooting traits were observed. The rooting traits of cuttings are strongly under genetic control. In addition, the correlations among the propagation coefficient of ortets, the rooting ability of cutting and the growth of ortets (Stem Volume) were also discussed.
