Abstract: This paper dealts with two methods of determining seed vigour of pinus thun-bergii, the tetrazolium colorimetric determination and the catalase activity determination. Experiments indicate that both are applicable to seed tests of Pinus thunbergai, but the later method has the advantage that it requires simpler instruments and less time and is easy to perform.
