Abstract: The product components from rapid pyrolysis of Camellia oleifera were analyzed by GC/MS as curie-point temperatures were from 358 ℃ to 590 ℃. Results showed that composition of products tended to be more complex when increased the temperature. The dominated composition in products from rapid pyrolysis of nucleus of C. oleifera was fatty acid and some high value added species such furfural, vitamin E and beta-Amyrin were detected simultaneously. The fatty acid of about 5% from rapid pyrolysis of seed shell of C. oleifera was lower when compared with that in nucleus and the major components were also included the phenols and its derivant. In addition, high value added species such as furfural, vanillin and eugenol were detected in it. The further study indicated that rapid pyrolysis of C. oleifera could provid many raw materials for chemical industry, pharmaceuticals industry and food industry.
